Do my profits (both dividends and capital gains) get taxed in Thailand?
The income from foreign securities investment appears to be the income under Section 40 (4), the individual has to include this income in the calculation of personal income tax (PND 90), if all three of the following conditions are met:
- The income received from the investment in foreign securities, whether it is the profit from realized gain or dividends.
- The income was brought into Thailand in the same tax year as the year in which that income was received.
- Any person residing in Thailand for a period or periods aggregating more than 180 days in any same tax year as the year in which that income was received.
