The Founding Team

Michele Ferrario

Co-founder, CEO

Michele is the former CEO of Zalora Group and the co-founder of Rocket Internet in Italy and Pakistan. Before that, he worked as an Investment Manager at Synergo and as Engagement Manager at McKinsey. He earned his MBA at Columbia Business School and his Bachelor of Science in Finance at Bocconi University in Italy. Singapore’s Minister of Finance has invited Michele to be a member of the Committee for the Future of the Economy.

Nino Ulsamer

Co-founder, CTO

Nino was co-founder and CTO at Divvit, and Founder of Personio. Before that, he was co-founder and Managing Director of Westwing in Russia, the country's largest home-and-living e-commerce platform. Nino holds a Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Munich and was a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley.

Freddy Lim

Co-Founder

Freddy gathered years of investment expertise as Managing Director and Global Head of Derivatives Strategy at Nomura. He gained his strong background in cross-asset portfolio at Millennium Capital Management and at CitiGroup, after working at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Lehman Brothers. Freddy holds a BSc in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Monash University.

Jirawin Tochirakul

Managing Director

Jirawin currently leads StashAway Thailand, driving the company's strategy and growth in the Thai market. Before joining StashAway, he was a Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), advising C-level executives across financial institutions, wealth managers, and fintech ventures throughout Southeast Asia. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Digital Transformation Consultant at Accenture's London office. Jirawin holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with Business Finance from University College London in the United Kingdom, a Master of Advanced Management from Yale School of Management in the United States, and an MBA from Hitotsubashi University in Japan.

Adisorn Bandithsuwan, CFA

Deputy Managing Director

Adisorn brings extensive expertise in finance and investment across multiple markets, including Thailand, Singapore, and the CLMV region. Prior to joining StashAway, he served as an Investment Manager at one of Thailand's leading private fund management firms. Adisorn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mahidol University International College and a Master's in Fund Management from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. He is a licensed fund manager and investment advisor approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Thailand, and is a CFA® charterholder.

Stephanie Leung

Chief Investment Officer

Stephanie managed multi-billion portfolios as VP at Goldman Sachs and CIO of major family offices. Stephanie has over 20 years of experience managing multi-asset portfolios globally, with deep expertise in global macro and quantitative strategies. Jirawin Tochirakul and Adisorn Bandithsuwan work alongside Stephanie Leung as fund managers approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Thailand.
