What is NDID?
National Digital ID (NDID) is a platform that provides identity authentication services. Once you have NDID, it allows you to transact online. You can open savings and investment accounts, apply for online loans, and more!
NDID connects with many sectors, such as government and private sectors, including banks, state agencies, and private companies.
Who’s behind NDID?
NDID is managed by National Digital ID Co., Ltd. It was created with the support of both public and business sectors such as the banking, securities, asset management, and insurance sectors, as well as the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).
Is NDID secure?
NDID was designed with data security and privacy in mind. NDID data is encrypted with PKI infrastructure, which is a decentralised system built on blockchain technology. That means that though service providers maintain personal data, NDID can’t access any of this data.
How to check if you already have NDID:
If you already have NDID, skip to the next section. If you’re not sure, check via your mobile banking app under ‘NDID Services’. Or, contact your bank to find out.
How can I enroll in NDID with the bank?
First, you’ll need to verify your identity with the bank. You’ll be able to enroll in NDID so long as you meet the below requirements:
- You’re of Thai nationality
- You have an account or financial product, such as saving account or credit card, with the bank that you wish to enroll your NDID with
- You have mobile banking application
